”You’ve used your session limit” or “You’ve used your weekly limit”
You’ve reached one of your plan’s usage limits. The message tells you when it resets. Wait for the reset, or upgrade in Settings → Billing. See How usage works.”Another reply is still running”
Cleve works on one reply at a time. Wait for the current reply to finish, or stop it, then send your message again.”This reply took too long”
The reply ran out of time, usually on a very large task. Try again, or break the request into smaller steps. For example, ask Cleve to outline first, then write each section.A model shows a lock
Your plan doesn’t include that model. Use Auto or another model on your plan, or upgrade. See Models and Auto.”Attachment too large”
Each attachment can be up to 10 MB. Split large files, or paste the relevant part into the message box or a doc.Images aren’t created
- Image generation is available on paid plans.
- If you see Not enough usage left for an image, wait for your usage to reset.
- Cleve declines some requests, such as sexual content or images of real people that are sexualised, violent, or demeaning. See Image generation.
Cleve didn’t change my doc

The status says “Offline” or “Reconnecting”
You can keep writing. Your edits sync when you’re back online, so keep the tab open until then. If someone else edited the doc meanwhile, Cleve keeps a copy of your offline edits in version history. See Offline.A doc says “View only”
You have viewer access. Ask the owner to make you an editor. See Sharing docs and folders.I can’t open a doc someone sent me
The doc isn’t shared with the account you’re signed in with. Request access from the page, or ask the owner to share it with your email address. If you have several accounts, check which one you’re signed in with.Someone didn’t get my invite email
Their access is set up even if the email didn’t arrive. Use Copy link in the share dialog and send it to them directly. To prevent spam, Cleve limits how many invite emails you can send in a day and to the same person in a short time.I need an earlier version of a doc
Open Version history from the doc’s ··· menu and restore the version you want. See Version history.Search
Search doesn’t find a doc
Search matches words in doc titles and content. Try a distinctive word from the doc. To find docs by meaning rather than exact words, ask Cleve instead, for example “Find my notes about pricing experiments”. See Search.Connected apps and other AI apps
Cleve can’t see my Gmail, Notion, or other app
Check that the app is connected in Settings → Integrations. If it is, disconnect and connect it again. See Connected apps.Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI app can’t reach my docs
Reconnect Cleve from that app and sign in again. If you belong to several workspaces, make sure the app is using the right one. See Use Cleve in other AI apps.Still stuck?
