Upgrading & Downgrading

How to Upgrade

1. Go to Settings → Subscription
2. Click “Upgrade Plan”
3. Select your desired plan
4. Enter payment details
5. Changes take effect immediately

Prorated billing: If you upgrade mid-month, you’re only charged the difference for the remaining days.

How to Downgrade

1. Go to Settings → Subscription
2. Click “Change Plan”
3. Select a lower-tier plan
4. Confirm downgrade

Grace period: Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain current plan features until then. Data limits: If you exceed the new plan’s limits (e.g., 15 writings on Free plan), you won’t be able to create new content until you delete some or upgrade again.

Students and educators receive 50% off Starter and Pro plans.

How to Apply

1. Sign up with your .edu email address
2. Verify your student/educator status
3. Discount applies automatically at checkout

Verification done via SheerID. Requires proof of enrollment or employment.

Nonprofit & Open Source

Nonprofit organizations and open source projects can apply for free Pro plan access.

Usage Limits & Overages

AI Message Limits

When you hit your monthly AI message limit:

• Free: Blocked until next month or upgrade
• Starter/Pro: Blocked until next month or upgrade
• Max: Fair use policy (typical limit is 50,000 tokens/day)

We’ll notify you at 80% of your limit so you can upgrade before hitting it.

Storage Limits

When you approach your storage limit:

• Warning at 80% capacity
• Read-only mode at 100% (can’t upload new files)
• Upgrade or delete old content to continue

Content Extraction Limits

Applies to Instagram/TikTok content extraction:

• Free: Not available
• Starter: 10 extractions/month
• Pro: 50 extractions/month
• Max: Unlimited (fair use)

FAQs

​

Can I change plans anytime?

Yes! Upgrade instantly, or downgrade at the end of your billing cycle.

​

What happens if I cancel?

Your plan remains active until the end of the paid period. After that, you’re downgraded to Free plan (with data limits applied).

​

Do you offer trials?

The Free plan is effectively a free trial. No credit card required.

​

Can I pay with crypto?

Not currently, but we’re exploring crypto payment options for 2024.

​

Is there a family plan?

Not yet, but it’s on our roadmap. For now, use shared categories to collaborate with family members.
